30 years experiance We stand behind what we do. Our work is second to none in the business. The integrity of our company is what we feel will grow our operations over time. Our Slab jacking work of established builds is guaranteed to last.
Once we determine the cause, we fix the problem. It's so much more than just lift the concrete as fast as you can.
Mudjacking material is able to be controlled by how much water is added for any specific use. Void filling with a wetter slump is just as important as lifting with a stiffer mix. This is a crucial difference between Mudjacking and raising concrete with foam.
Filling the holes under steps has proven to keep the sidewalks we've raised over the years at grade height. It retains the ground under the side walk and prevents it from wanting to naturally fill in the large hole.
Loose ground below your concrete is not the only concern. The Pilings your grade beam rests on need to be kept dry!!.
First introduced in 1901, "Mudjacking" has always been a mix of organics made able to be pumped under the slabs. Sand, rock and clay, Won't rot or crush under load and is able to be better manipulated by control of slump so to fill voids as well as lift the concrete. Cleans up with water. The techniques used to raise the slabs are a unique skill and requires extensive training. Our newcomer competition will lift your slab but leave hollow voids under the slab, leading you to believe they've done their job. This can be easily recognized or measured typically by the lack of holes drilled or how long it takes them. This is largely why their cost is sometimes under half of ours. A Mudjacking project is more thorough and takes more time and effort to complete for a better out come. We've been proud of our unrecognized trade, knowing we were a cost-effective alternative to replacement. The newcomer, as we see it actually hurts the very industry we have worked hard to legitimize.
This material is chemically produced. And its clean up or by-product can only be stored and never reintroduced to the natural environment. It's stored in facilities or warehouses and is harmful to the health of the people using it. Being out of sight and out of mind under your driveway doesn't take away from how it was produced or cleaned up after they leave. There is nothing at all Environmentally friendly about taking advantage of the expansion capabilities of Polyurethane mixed components. The knowledge of how to lift slabs is based on when to stop obviously before it breaks. The easiest way to explain this skill difference is a Mudjacking pump when stopped by operator control, so does the lift. The lift from the chemical introduction is all by guess and hope it stops if necessary. These are the leading reasons why, when approached by American companies, we rejected adding the polyurethane product to our company.
Personally, I have been in the industry for over 30 years now and I have worked under some of the most skilled Mudjackers in the business. Of whom are my only legitimate competition in the Province. We support each other in a professional, good nature way as competitors should. Competition is good for marketing an unrecognized industry such as ours. A great deal of effort is put into our equipment upkeep, shop and yard facilities and most importantly, the effort of producing the uniquely designed "Grout" material we use in the mudjacking process. Our newcomer competition has much less to spend on initial equipment purchase and less individual units necessary. Use of material consumption is not even a marginal comparison item. To void fill properly and be as thorough as the Mudjacking, the cost of material necessary would make it impossible to be bidding half of our prices. Polyurethane and its after care is much more expensive than our used organics. Its all common sense
